Oh, what a laugh

Oh, what a laugh, Che, afraid of death?

it was death that cowered before him,

dragged his lean girth smiling in mirth,

to the courtyard just as was his whim;

it was his way, fitting he should end his day thus,

a life spent on getting liberty and equality,

grabbing one and all to get in the freedom bus,

to live with love and do so with dignity;

the soldiers arrayed before him with raised rifles,

he stood smiling and pushed his chest for one and all,

the promise of shoes to the old lady, time not for trifles,

this day was destined when long ago he heeded the call;

the command was given and the guns were fired,

and in joyous glory died our hero that truly inspired.
